The Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, 1995 (Constitution) recognises the rights of the child and specifically provides for children’s right to health, right to education, and right to protection from exploitation.

What We Do

Vulnerable children in Uganda face a lot of injustices within their families and communities where they stay and grow up. Some of the injustices and rights violation on children have long term effects on their lives and to the community in general. In Uganda children face challenges like child labor, poverty, exposure to violence, teenage pregnancies, early marriage, malnutrition, deprivation of shelter, neglect by parents, exploitation among others.
In addressing the above Orutambu Uganda amplifies advocacy and awareness on protection of child rights, provides psycho-social and medical support to victims and also offers legal support victims.
