Orutambu Uganda supports caregivers and children from beneficiary households to improve on their health living standards.
What We Do
This is done through supporting children that need specialized treatment, carrying out health education sessions in the communities, conducting community medical camps where free medical services are provided to the communities and supporting adolescent girls to access sanitary pads for managing their menstrual hygiene.
Orutambu Uganda also conducts periodic nutrition awareness sessions and clinics where nutrition assessment for children and caregivers is carried out, the assessment results are used for provision nutrition supplements to the beneficiaries and those found with severe nutrition deficiencies are referred to health facilities for focused management. Caregivers are also supported grow nutritious foods for Children in their homes through the kitchen gardens and backyard gardening arrangements.
