What is Orutambu Uganda?

Orutambu Uganda is a non-governmental organization (NGO) established in late 2018 to transform the lives of the most vulnerable people in Uganda.

We work in rural and urban communities of Fort Portal and the Rwenzori region, where many families live in extreme poverty, lacking access to basic services such as education, clean water, or medical care.

We firmly believe that all people deserve to live with dignity, health, and real opportunities to build their future.

History

Orutambu Uganda was founded through a collaboration between local community leaders in Uganda and volunteers from Spain.

From the beginning, our vision was clear: to join forces to provide direct and sustainable support to the families who need it most.

Today, we are officially registered:

In Uganda, under the National Bureau for NGOs (Reg. No. 7088)
In Spain as an Association (NIF G93657450)

Our team consists of Ugandan and Spanish professionals and volunteers who work together every day to grow the impact of our NGO.

To achieve this, we can provide opportunities and solutions to the less privileged and thus improve the quality of life for children, youth, women, and men affected by illness, poverty, conflict, and disasters.
